Aarya Venkat, a graduate student in the BMB program and a member of Dr. Kannan’s lab, is one of six UGA graduate students to receive the 2021-22 ARCS Foundation Award.  The ARCS Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting academically outstanding U.S.

Landon M. Clark received the 2021 Sisodia-Patel Prize for Outstanding Research by an Undergraduate in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. This award is made possible by the generosity of of Dr. Sangram S. Sisodia, who earned his Ph.D.

Emma Grace Tucker received the 2021 Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Professors Emeriti Award for Outstanding Academics. The award was made possible this year by the generosity of Professor Emeritus Dan DerVartanian.

The BFF was one of 10 applicants awarded a Kuhner Kelvin+ shaker in the Kuhner 2nd Art of Shaking Competition.

Zachary Wood was awarded the UGA 2021 Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professorship, which is the university’s highest and most prestigious recognition for instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
