Erin Dolan, the Georgia Athletic Association Professor for innovative science education at the University of Georgia won the 2017 American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Award for Exemplary Contributions to Education.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Watts, second year PhD student in Dr. Michael Terns lab. She has been awarded the NSF-GRFP fellowship.    

2016 BCMB Departmental Retreat was held at Unicoi State Park on Sunday, May 15 - Monday, May 16, 2016. There were 140 people in attendance which included Faculty, Research Staff, Postdocs, Graduate and Undergraduate Students.

The department would like to congratulate Dr. Rebecca Terns on her new position at UGA. She will be working on proposal development for UGA in the Office of Research (http://research.uga.edu/proposal-enhancement/) .

The Bioexpression and Fermentation Facility is participating in a cancer reproducibility study in cooperation with Science Exchange and the Center for Open Science.
