A recent paper from members of the biochemistry and molecular biology department was chosen as an editors' pick for the Journal of Biological Chemistry.

The paper, CRISPR/Cas9 and glycomics tools for Toxoplasma glycobiology," was authored by senior research associate Elisabet Gas-Pascual, Research Professional IV Hiroshi Travis Ichikawa of the UGA New Materials Institute, postdoctoral research associates Mohammed Osman Sheikh and Msano Mandalasi, Mariam Isabella Serji, graduate research associate Bowen Deng, and professor Lance Wells and professor and department head Chris West, as well as Giulia Bandini and John Samuelson, both of Boston University.

An introductory highlight was written by Iain B. H. Wilson and Irma Schabussova, available to read here, and JBC posted author profiles of Gas-Pascual and Ichikawa.

Being chosen as an editors' pick places the paper in the top 2 percent of papers accepted by the journal. To read the paper in full, click here.
