Faculty/Staff Login To access restricted content BCMB Webmail Web access to departmental email Reservations Make reservations for conference rooms Connecting to BCMB Shared Drive From on-campus working from a Mac: From the Mac Finder: Go>Connect to Server>smb://fcncfs4.msmyid.uga.edu/BCMB. From on-campus working from a PC: Open a new Windows Explorer window. Right-click on 'Computer' (Windows 7) or 'This PC' (Windows 10) in the sidebar and select 'Map network drive...'. Select a letter that you would like to use to represent the share that you'll be mounting. (Within Franklin, departmental shares are typically assigned to S: and personal shares to U:.) If you'd like to access your departmental share, type the following into the 'Folder:' field: "\\fcncfs4.msmyid.uga.edu\BCMB" Check the 'Connect using different credentials' box. If you'd like your shares to mount on login, you can also check the 'Reconnect at logon' box. However, remember that you won't be able to access them unless you are connected to the UGA network (either directly or via the VPN). Click 'Finish'. A new box will appear. In the 'User name' field, enter "myid\{MYID}" where {MYID} is your UGA MyID. For example, if your UGA MyID were 'phillip', you would enter "myid\phillip" into the 'User name' field. Enter your MyID password into the 'Password' field. Click 'Ok'. Windows will now attempt to connect your share. If it is successful, you'll now see a new drive listed under 'Computer' (Windows 7) or This PC (Windows 10) in the sidebar. This is your network share. You can use it just like you would use any drive that is connected to your computer. If Windows doesn't connect and instead displays an error, go back to step 4 and make sure that you typed the URL, your MyID (including the 'myid\' prefix) and your MyID password correctly. From off-campus, first connect to UGA via VPN.
